Softball Tourney

This past weekend Patrick played in the 8th Annual Conrad Carlson Softball Tournament in Osage City. He's played in it probably 4 or 5 years out of the 8, and for the past two years we've missed out...so, he was really happy to play again this weekend. He played on the Rod's Allstars team, hit two home runs (one 3-run, one 2-run) and a nice double over the weekend. Here is a video from Channel 49 News (Topeka) recapping the tourney. At 1:23 you'll see the back of Patrick for a bit, sitting in the dugout.

On Thursday of last week he came home from work and said "what do you think about cutting my hair into a Mohawk for the games?" So, on Friday after he got off work I buzzed his hair! I think it turned out pretty cool.

Emery had a blast watching his dad play softball. He loved every part about hanging out at the ball park, especially the bats, balls, and running around getting dirty. I got a few great pictures of him having fun...check them out below.

Hopefully we'll be able to make it back so Patrick can play next year, too. Not only was it great for him to get back on the field, it was great to be back in our home town, spend some time with Emery's grandparents and enjoy a weekend away.

That was a bad call!!

Where's my baseball?!

Good game, Daddy!
