Our 4th of July wasn't quite as exciting as planned due to the damper Mother Nature put on it. It rained for most of the day so we couldn't play outside or anything! But, once the evening rolled around the rain let up! We went to our friends' Curtis & Kara's house for a small barbecue with friends. Even our friend Alex was in town from Houston! We had burgers and corn on the cob. It was very yummy. Emery also shot off his first ever fireworks! He wasn't too impressed with the noise they made, but he did enjoy the snakes, smoke bombs, and sparklers. After eating and fireworks he even got to enjoy his first Bomb Pop. :) Here are some photos from the day.

LOL! I know, Kristin! It was so sad to see how scared he was but it was also sort of funny :) Someday he won't believe he was ever afraid of a little wimpy firework...and I'll have this to prove it!!
