Easter 2012

Easter was quite some time ago now, but I still wanted to get photos up and document what a great weekend we had!  Elle's first Easter and Emery's 4th Easter was very memorable!! :)  Here are some photos to prove what a great time we had...it's always fun when family is involved!

On Saturday, we got up and headed to Kansas City to celebrate Elle's Godfather's joining of the Catholic Church!  We spent the day with Lauren, Reid, Jack, and Lauren's family (my Aunt Ginny, Uncle Mike, and my cousins Ben, John, Maggie, Tim, Tom, and Lucy).  The kids had so much fun playing with Emery, Elle, and of course, Jack.  It was a really fun day.

That evening we all went out to dinner and then to Easter Vigil mass.  Here are some photos after mass as we celebrated Reid!  Welcome to the Catholic Faith, Reid!

Emery and Jack (way past their bedtime!!)...best buddies.

The kids did surprisingly very well during mass.  It was so great to be there for such a special occasion.

That night we stayed at Lauren & Reid's house and the next morning we woke up to find that the Easter Bunny found us there!!
Happy 1st Easter, Elle!

He brought the kids bubbles, books, and sunglasses!

After eating breakfast with Lauren, Reid, and Jack, we loaded up the car and headed to Osage City for Easter lunch with the grandparents!  My mom made a yummy lunch for us to enjoy.  Here is Elle eating Easter lunch in the same high chair my brother and I used as a child.

Emery enjoys his Easter lunch!

Grandma Holthaus made Emery his very own Inny Inchworm!

And Elle got a baby Inny, too!

Elle napping in the same crib that her grandma and mom slept in!  This is a priceless photo!

And it's time to egg hunt!!!  Emery was so excited to hunt the eggs!  He actually had us hide eggs 6-7 times!

Checking out all of his loot!

Grandpa makes Elle laugh!

Crashed on the ride home from a beautiful Easter day with family!

Humm...something about this picture just doesn't seem right!  He sure looks like he's resting, but don't let it fool you, he talked the ENTIRE 2 hours home!!
