Our Trip to Arizona

The weekend after Patrick's birthday in November, we took a short family trip to Arizona.  We've been wanting to go again for a long time and luckily, we were able to get some very affordable tickets through Allegiant.  Although it was a quick trip, it was very nice.  We stayed with Patrick's Uncle Tom and Aunt Kelly, who moved to the Pheonix area less than a year ago.  They have a nice home there and we were lucky they wanted to host us.  Emery enjoyed playing with their dogs, too!  We spent one day traveling down to Tucson and hanging out with Patrick's friend Russ and his wife Shelby.  We haven't seen them since their wedding two years ago, when I was pregnant with Emery!  So, they were excited to meet Emery!  We took Emery to the Dessert Museum in Tucson and also back to Patrick's old neighborhood.  Patrick was really excited for Emery to visit Arizona and see the dessert.  Em came back home knowing exactly what a cactus is and has also really been enjoying the dessert animal book we got him while we were there.  We look forward to going back again, sooner rather than later!  And next time maybe I won't be pregnant so I can enjoy a margarita! LOL :)
