-He's been walking exclusively for over a month! We haven't seen the kid crawl to get anywhere for weeks. Pretty cool! (And pretty exhausting!)
-He's doing great without the pacifier! He still gets it at nap and bedtime but that's it!
-He no longer throws his cup on the floor! Well, maybe once or twice a day but not 15 times per meal! He's using his little cup holder on his highchair tray perfectly!
-We've started to practice using a spoon. He thinks it's fun!
-He has learned how to climb onto his play table. This has been a bit scary for me and we've had to work on some "punishing" but I'm sure he'll learn it isn't safe soon.
-He has been sleeping wonderfully! He goes to bed about 8:15 PM every night and wakes around 8 AM! On days I have to go to work I have to wake him up so we're not late to daycare and work!
-He loves his naps. He's still taking two naps a day, which he still needs. We read a short book and I put him in bed and he never fusses (Knock on wood)...just lays down and catches some zzz's.
-He's starting to give hugs! This is fun! He's been giving kisses for a long time but now he'll give a little squeeze with his little arms wrapped around you. It's the best thing in the world!
-He's been whining more. This week was better than last, but we're still trying to figure out how to reduce the whines without him always getting his way.
-He loves to test limits. Climbing in his toy box, pulling things out of the trash can (yuck!), trying to get into Red's dog bowl, throwing everything and anything, and trying to climb the stairs without us there to help him. I'm sure this list will grow and grow as he gets older!
-He's still not saying any "words" yet, but babbles and babbles all day long. He does point at lots of things and when we say different words for things he'll point to the item we're talking about. We're working on the speech thing more, now that we have walking down pat!
-One of his favorite toys at the moment is his shape sorter. He's a very hands-on sort of kid and is enjoying trying to figure out how to put the pieces into the different holes.
-We're loving him every second. He may be throwing us some new challenges but he is still so much fun and so joyful to have in our lives!!
