What we've had fun doing lately..
-Kissing! She loves smacking her lips to make kiss sounds!
-Dancing! She will bop up and down to music and whenever we say "Dance, Elle!"
-Waving! She loves waving Hi and Bye Bye to anyone and everyone...even to pictures!
-Playing Peek a Boo! She enjoys pulling the blanket over her head and yanking it down--eliciting the "Peek a Boo!" response from whoever is playing with her. Then she just giggles and giggles!
-Blowing Raspberries! This is a fairly new trick she has figured out, and if you look back a few blog posts, you'll see a video that Patrick posted the other day of her blowing raspberries for a solid minute! Sooo funny!
-Rolling over :) Yes, I am aware that most 9 month olds are far past the rolling over milestone, but Elle is a little lazy when it comes to moving and she has NEVER enjoyed tummy time. So, the fact that she is actually rolling on to her belly on her own free will is wonderful and we are very excited about it!
-Her first "word"! So, it's not completely clear, but lately she has been saying "Hi!" when she waves sometimes. It comes out more like "iiiiiii!!" but you get the idea! :)
-Sippy Cups! She is doing awesome drinking from a sippy cup! She loves it, too.
-Finger Foods! This has been very fun. Elle is a master of the pincher grasp (thumb & finger) and really enjoys eating "real" food instead of baby food. We are slowing moving away from baby food and going toward eating meals just like the rest of the family. She couldn't be more happy when dinner time rolls around! haha
-Big Girl Carseat! This past weekend we put the infant carseat away and set her convertible carseat up in my car. It was way past time, as that infant seat was getting HEAVY. The downfall--we no longer have carseats in both vehicles.

Lots more to come in the months ahead. Our baby girl is growing and changing and really lighting up our lives!
