I'm finally catching a breath and getting on our blog to update after our trip to Mexico!

Patrick and I had a great time celebrating our friend's Krysta & Vince's wedding! It was a full weekend of fun and we are so lucky we were able to partake in it!

A few highlights:

-My 27th birthday was on Friday, the day before the wedding. We were able to get a couples massage at the resort spa. It was fantastic!

-Krysta had a birthday cake delivered to our hotel room Friday night...so sweet of her!

-Krysta and Vince looked stunning. One of the nicest looking bride and grooms I've ever seen :)

-The ceremony was outdoors, right on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Just breathtaking!

-During the reception about 90% of the guests decided to dance in the fountain! So much fun!

-After the reception ended 4 of the 7 bridesmaids jumped in the pool in our dresses! See the video below!

Patrick and I enjoyed ourselves very much. It was nice to get away for a few days and be totally free of responsibility! It was especially nice that my mom was able to stay here at our house and watch Emery for us. It allowed us to go without worrying at all about him. While we missed him terribly we knew he was in good hands!

While I'm updating on our trip, I'd also like to update on a few new things Emery is doing!

-He is now eating on a plate with silverware at every meal. While he doesn't use the fork the whole time (it just takes too much time!!), he is doing really great!

-He has recently learned belly button, ears, mouth, and nose. A few weeks ago he got toes down pat, but we're still working on fingers and eyes.

-Newest word: Balloon (which comes out more like "balala")

-He has a new found love for the television, especially a baby show called "eebee." For some reason he can't get enough of it.

-He's climbing up on to everything. He has the sofa upstairs and downstairs mastered, the chair in his room, and he can get up into his little lawn chair when we are outside.

-He now knows how to climb down the stairs as well as up them. Thank goodness. I've been waiting for this!

-We play outside all the time. He loves it. Every time we try to go inside he throws a fit.

-He's more and more fun everyday! We are having a blast with him and can't wait for summer so we can spend even more time playing together!

Next up, our family vacation to New York to see my brother Eric and his girlfriend Sarah. We are so excited for this trip! It will be Emery's first time flying in an airplane and Patrick & Emery's first time in New York. We fly out this next week!
