Termites are Terrible...

Bad news in the Atchison house. We have termites. It all started on Saturday when I noticed a little spot on the wall that wasn't there before. Turns out after Patrick and I investigated a bit more the "thing" that caused the spot actually made a hole in our drywall. A termite "mistake". We had an exterminator come out and check things over today and we were right. Bad news or good news first? Well..since we all like good news better, the good news is that they haven't spread too far. Meaning, we caught them before they took over the house. They are only in the wall by our front door. The one with the windows overlooking the porch. He saw no other signs of them anywhere else. The bad news...it's going to cost us a lot of money to get rid of them and protect our house from future termite invaders. Money that we would much rather spend on things for Emery, traveling, going out to eat, anything more "fun" than pest control. It sort of makes me sick to my stomach to think about it, actually. The one thing that I just have to keep going to is that God will provide for us. We need to be thankful that we have jobs and a savings (even though it's getting smaller by the minute!) as I know some people don't even have that. He will provide. Some way, some how. And we need to make the right decisions to take care of our home and family. And, unfortunately, this is one of them.
