This last week in review:
Willie and Mary Sue came to visit last Sunday to celebrate Father's Day one week early. Patrick unfortunately has to work on Father's Day (Boo!) so we enjoyed the day with them celebrating as if it were the actual day! We took Emery to the Zoo for his first time. It was a great day. Although he didn't really get into the animals, it was fun to show them to him. It got me excited
to think about all the times we'll have in the future going through the exibits and seeing the look on his face and hearing all his comments and questions about each animal. Here are some photos from the day.
Wednesday we attended Grandpa Tom's memorial mass. Although it was under sad circumstances, it was very nice to see the family. Many of Patrick's famly had not met Emery yet, so that was nice. We also got to spend some good quality time with Mary Sue, Willie, and Jake during the middle of the week. Patrick, Willie, and Jake even got to go golfing together.
And before we left on Thursday Patrick, Willie, Emery, and Patrick's Grandpa Bill got a 4-Generation photo together!
Last night, Friday, Patrick's Aunt Lorraine stayed here for a conference she's attending in Wichita today. She had Emery giggling like crazy. Sorry no photo..it would have been a good one for a video!
At the beginning of the week Emery was sleeping pretty rough. Up 3 times a night for a couple nights. Patrick and I weren't sure what the deal was but figured out he's going through some teething again. I'm ready for those buggers to pop through! We started him on his teething tablets again and now he's back to sleeping through the night. This week also marked the end of the swaddle! No longer do we wrap him up all snug for bed. He's doing great without it and I think he enjoys spreading his arms and legs out now (before he couldn't stand it!)!
Have a great Father's Day weekend!
