We had a great 4th of July weekend! My brother, Eric, and his friend Sarah flew in from New York for our family's Bokern Bash (My Grandma--Mom's Mom--and her siblings and their families). The Bokern Bash is a big celebration every 5 years held on the weekend of 4th of July. The only downfall to the event was that Patrick had to stay behind in Wichita because he had to work. But, his brother Jake came to hang out with him after he got off and they went downtown and watched the fireworks together. Thanks for coming, Jake! I wish Emery and I could have seen you while you were here!
Anyway, back to the Bokern Bash! Our family color for the event was "John Deere Green." Emery even got a new pair of John Deere socks for the occasion. haha. There were Hay Rack rides, Horse rides, a talent show, great food, good conversations...the whole bit. Then on the drive home we got to watch all sorts of fireworks out the window!
Here are some photos from the weekend. We had a really nice time!

It looked like a fun weekend for you all. I bet it was great to see Eric and all your clan. Your Grandma Eleanor looked great too!
